Gen Emailer ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Gen Emailer Chrome extension and the website genemailer.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. We use a passwordless one-time code (OTP) system — we never store passwords.
Profile Information: You may optionally provide your name, brokerage name, phone number, and email sign-off. This information is used solely to personalize the emails we generate for you.
Generated Emails: When you generate an email, we store the subject line, body, quality score, and improvement tips in your account so you can access your email history.
Usage Data: We track basic usage metrics (daily and monthly email generation counts) to enforce plan limits. We do not track your browsing activity, read your inbox, or monitor which websites you visit.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not read, access, or store your inbox or existing emails
- We do not track your browsing history or web activity
- We do not collect financial information directly (payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy)
- We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties
3. How We Use Your Information
- Email Generation: Your input (template choice, recipient info, listing details, tone preference) is sent to our AI service to generate email content. This data is processed in real-time and is not used to train AI models.
- Authentication: Your email address is used to create and manage your account via secure OTP verification.
- Personalization: Your profile information (name, brokerage) is used to personalize generated emails with your sign-off and branding.
- Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics help us improve Gen Emailer. We never analyze individual email content.
4. Listing URL Auto-Fill Feature
When you paste a property listing URL (from Zillow, Trulia, or Realtor.com), our extension opens the page in a background tab to extract publicly available property information (address, price, property type, listing agent name). This data is used solely to auto-fill your email template. We do not store listing data on our servers — it is processed locally in your browser.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase (authentication and database) — stores your account, profile, and email history. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Google Gemini API (AI generation) — processes your email generation requests. Content is not used for model training. Google API Terms

6. Data Storage and Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- Authentication tokens are stored securely in your browser's local storage
- Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
- We do not store data longer than necessary for the service to function
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — your profile and email history are visible in the extension
- Delete individual emails from your history at any time
- Delete your account — contact us at support@genemailer.com and we will permanently delete all your data within 30 days
- Export your data — contact us to request a copy of all data associated with your account
8. Children's Privacy
Gen Emailer is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Gen Emailer after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
